12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God, 13 which things we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining spiritual thoughts with spiritual words.
14 But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised. (1Corinthians2:12-14)
Anyone blind to the spiritual world as a consequence is bound to the material world! We need the Spirit from God to understand the things given to us by God. Without God’s enablement, we see the treasures of God as trash. Human wisdom and understanding only enables us to understand the physical world.
The reason why anyone in Christ is a new creation is because he has a new Spirit with different needs and understanding that the old one. There are new desires and goals that you have. You have a thirst and a hunger for spiritual things that material things cannot satisfy.
Frustration will always occur when anyone is trying to satisfy spiritual needs with material resources. It will cause a perpetual thirst, like drinking seawater. The more you drink the more you thirst. If there is frustration in your life are you focused on the wrong kind of resources to meet your needs. No amount of material resources can ever fulfill Spiritual needs. Get on your knees today and ask God to satisfy the needs you have with His Thirst-quenching Spirit.
God quenches the thirst of my Spirit Lord God. All the material resources in the world only make me thirstier. Only in you do I find fulfillment for the desires of my heart. In Jesus name-Amen
